Project : Oversize load delivered from Albany to Hamilton

This project was to transport an oversized load of steel balcony framing from an Albany based Structural and Steel Fabricator, and driving the load to be galvanised in Hamilton. As the load was 4 metres wide, it required the use of a pilot vehicle. The trip to Hamilton took 4 hours rather than the usual 2 hours as the load was too wide to be driven on the Auckland motorways! The truck and pilot vehicle drove a route that utilised Great North Road , Trig Road and Great South Road.
